Talking to friends and family about things can help, but sometimes we need more than to talk to a concerned friend and getting their opinion or maybe a story about them in return. Counselling is more than being told ‘I know how you feel’ because we can’t know exactly how other people feel. Our friends and family are very good intentioned in their advice but can only give that advice from their own point of view. Often we know it doesn’t sit right with us or 2 friends may tell us to do different things – then what do we do?
Counselling can be the way to find out what is right for you because you are unique. To talk freely without fear of judgement. We can all follow some patterns of unhelpful behaviours and so making some of the changes that you want to make to find your way of living the life that you want to live can lead to greater happiness, fulfilment and contentment.
